To My Mamoni, My Eternal Guiding Light – On International Women’s Day
Mamoni, you sacrificed your entire life for me, the greatest teacher who showed me how to live selflessly, pouring your heart into every step of my journey since the day I was born. You silently cared for me, nurturing my dreams without a word, and even now, when I travel far, your first question is always, “Have you eaten on time? Take care of yourself.” To you, I’ll forever be your little boy.
Despite your ailing health, when I return from travel in the middle of the night—when everyone else is fast asleep—you’re there, waiting to open the door. As I press the doorbell, your radiant smile greets me, and in an instant, my tiredness vanishes, washed away by your boundless affection. That’s the magic of your unconditional love for your son.
In my darkest dilemmas, you understood me like no one else, wrapping me in your blessings. You’re not just the world’s best mother; you’re a wonderful soul who cares deeply for everyone around her.
On this International Women’s Day, I salute you, Mamoni. Thank you for making me who I am today. You are my world, my God. And I thank the Almighty for His greatest gift to the universe: A Mother.
