My Independence Day Pledge

India!

A land of a billion dreams.
A land where every street, every school ground, every patch of open earth can become a football pitch.
Yet for too long, our dreams have been told to wait.

No more waiting. No more “someday.”
Today, I pledge —
With fire in my heart and the tricolour in my soul —
I will fight for Indian football until it stands where it belongs: on top of the world.

I pledge to break every barrier.
To give every child — boy or girl, rich or poor, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari — a chance to chase the ball, chase the dream, and chase greatness.

I pledge to unite the thinkers, the doers, the fighters of this game —
To create leagues that inspire, academies that produce champions, and a system that leaves no talent undiscovered.

I pledge that one day, the world will stop and watch when the Blue Tigers and Tigresses take the field —
Not as underdogs, but as equals.
Not as hopefuls, but as champions.

This is my mission.
This is my promise.
This is my Independence Day pledge.

For the billions who dream.
For the millions who play.
For the one flag we love.

Jai Hind. Jai Football.
