Key milestones include:
• Bringing Bayern Munich to India in 2008 for legendary goalkeeper Oliver Kahn’s retirement match vs. Mohun Bagan A.C.
• Organizing with TV9 network the debut Legends match featuring FC Bayern legends and East Bengal legends
• Conducted the the News Nine Plus Corporate Cup at Pune (TV9 News Network's Initiative), bringing Maharashtra Sports Department and Bundesliga as a partner of the initiatives, bringing a sense of sportsmanship and spirit among the Indian corporates. The Champion team HDFC Bank went to Germany to watch a Bundesliga match and met the legendary World Cup winner Lotthar Mattheus.
• Organized the ‘Maharashtra Cup’, Asia’s biggest U-14 boys’ scouting event (100,000+ kids participated across 4000 schools spanning 36 districts in 25 days) in association with the TV9 network and German club Bayern Munich. The best 20 players and 3 coaches were selected by FC Bayern Munich and were sent to an all-expense paid trip to Germany where they underwent training programs in Munich.
• Inaugurated the Kolkata Police Friendship Cup, which included Barcelona Legends Juliano Belletti, Javier Saviola and other legends.
• As a Youth Empowerment Strategist, with TV9, he is leading the Indian Tiger and Tigress Project, football’s largest talent hunt to find the stars of the future. The project is being worked on in collaboration with the DFB, Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund, Riespo, and the India Football Centre in Austria and aims at reaching over 55,000 schools and over a million students all across the country. With the project, backed by the Prime Minister’s blessings, Kaushik’s vision is crafting a new generation of footballers—global in training, Indian at heart.
• Founded Brand Next, which promotes Indian male and female athletes through collaborations with clubs from Germany and Spain
• His foundation has also enabled promising talents from underprivileged regions—like Dasharath Singh, Basit Ahmed, and Mohammed Asra Rehbar—to train or play in Europe.
• As a Futuristic Football Visionary and in collaboration with Neuroscience Champions, he is at the forefront of a paradigm shift in football talent scouting—fusing neuroscience with sports science. As Senior Advisor for Brain2Kick, he is helping enable the use of brain data through NICARA™ technology to create “brain fingerprints” of players—ushering a new era of cognitive performance analysis to identify and nurture the stars of tomorrow.
• As Honorary President of the India Football Centre (IFC), he spearheaded the launch of a state-of-the-art training facility at FC Ingolstadt, Germany, dedicated to nurturing Non-Resident Indian football talent—blending elite coaching with cross-cultural exchange and innovative advanced intelligence solutions powered by TCG Digital’s mcube platform.
• Ideated and orchestrated the NEWS9 Global Summit at VfB Stuttgart’s MHP Arena —uniting Bundesliga, the German federal leadership, and key Indian Union Ministers to foster Indo-German collaboration through the universal language of football. The summit featured an auspicious online address by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking a historic moment where sports, diplomacy, and innovation converged on a global platform.
• As a Senior Advisor to DFB, ideated and brought DFB Pokal and Women's Bundesliga to India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives and Sri Lanka. A first-of-its kind initiative in the world to democratize sports broadcasting and make it readily available to all for free, in their respective local languages along with automated, real-time curation of match highlights and match reports.
